Job hopper. You cringe when you hear those words. Why can’t interviewers see that none of those other jobs mattered? Only this new job is important now. You are confident that this job is the one.
Go through an vikar oslo. Employment agencies are great for finding temporary work if you need it, but often the short term jobs they find could lead to full time employment if the company you work for likes how you work. Even if the job seems temporary, work hard and work well so that you receive good references. Even a temporary job can lead to a full time position, so do not burn bridges by being a poor worker.
How do you survive unemployment? You have bills to pay. There is a family needing to be fed and housed. Fear of repossessions and homelessness dances in your mind. Added on top of this is a sense of damage or loss to your personal identity. Depression and possibly panic can set in before you know it.
Make housing and food a priority. If your job prospects seem dim, look for ways to reduce the cost of living so that you can stretch your funds. Make your next rent or mortgage payment right away if you have the money. This will buy you at least a month to find a way to get income. Buy up groceries that are cheap and can be used for multiple meals. Soup, casseroles, and large dishes can be eaten for several meals and are inexpensive to make when considered on a per serving basis.
Keep an open mind toward doing light industrial assignments when you register with a temp agency. I am paying the price for not making myself available for assignments that involve a lot of physical work when I registered with a certain temp agency in 2000. After making my usual weekly telephone call to the agency last year, I was told, “You’ve been registered with us for five years and I don’t think we are going to be able to find anything for you. You just don’t have the skills or experience we’re looking for.” The recruiter would not clarify the skills they want but I am assuming they were not impressed with the weak computer skills I had when I registered.
Make sure to wear your best clothes before going to an interview, even when the place isn’t somewhere that makes you dress nicely. Show you are a professional with quality and sleek attire.
16. Have ready prepared some probing questions to ask at the end of the interview. If the prepared questions have already been covered during the interview then tell them so and then thank them. Ask your recruitment agency what questions you should ask.
Always remember that recruitment agencies can help you with an awful lot more than merely getting you an interview. Recruitment agencies can help you write a professional CV, help you with application letters and help in your preparation for interviews. Ask for their advice at any step in the process.
