When I first started to try to make money online by blogging I thought that the easiest way to do so would be to own a single, powerful blog that got thousands or tens of thousands of visitors a day. However, I soon learned that this was exceedingly more difficult in to accomplish than to envision. Today, I believe the best way to make money blogging is to operate many, smaller niche blogs. This article will discuss some of the advantages of owning many niche blogs.

There is an overwhelming number of law blogs now available and unfortunately many of them have posts of poor quality. These blog posts tend to be more of a sales pitch to spend money on a law firm’s services or a law resource site’s products. Some of these websites are not updated frequently so it could be likely that the information available is years old and no longer relevant.

With web logging, you need to have your own website and domain names which is a bit meticulous and difficult to do. Today, blogging is made easy. All you need to do is to sign up for free and you can proceed to blogging without any cost of maintaining your blogsite.

blogs ARE MAGNETS FOR SEARCH ENGINES: Go on, get on to Google and, whatever topic you search, you’ll inevitably see that the search engines have thrown up a number of Blogs in the top ten results. This is because blogs are constantly showing fresh, new and key word friendly content just like your web pages should; that’s a Blog’s very reason for being. Imagine the value to you of having your own Blog pop in the top end of search results. The ubiquitous search engines clamor to highlight fresh, appropriate content – they love it. Constantly re-newed and freshened New business ideas leave stale, ageing (and rarely updated) web sites for dead.

Search engines always favor contents that are not common. The information you include in your online blogs should also not be packed with lots of affiliate links. This will discourage your readers. Always fill your blogs with information that will be of use to your readers. Moreover, never neglect the importance of using key words so that your blogs could be easily seen in search engines. Through this your blogs will be ranked highly and readers will keep on looking for more generating traffic.

The key to creating a successful blog is to create content that people are interested in. You can accomplish that by acting as a medium for people to voice their opinions & share information, or you could post your own information. Frequent updates, valuable content, timeless content, and helpful content will all siphon new visitors and retain recurrent visitors. Blog popularity usually erupts through word-of-mouth, so bear that in mind. When people are talking about it, people always want to see what all the commotion is about. After thinking about your human visitors, though, think about the robotic ones. Be sure to stay on topic and have keyword rich entries if you want search engine spiders to visit often.

The quickest and easiest way to set up a blog (and it is free!), is to go to http://www.blogger.com and follow the directions. They say it takes five minutes. I admit that it took me a bit longer and I am still playing with it, but it is easy! Be sure to check out the many templates and also have an idea (or several) for the name of your new blog. Most of the common ones are already taken.
